Logan's busy afternoon began when he woke up from his morning nap. It was busy, busy and he was off and running!

First off, he need to have some lunch. He likes to sit and watch tv while he eats lunch then he throws the food he doesn't want on the floor and the dogs usually clean it up for me.

Then, since it was such a beautiful day we took a stroll down to the mailbox and picked up about a weeks worth of mail. He's such a good helper and holds the key and the mail for me. He loves to point out the cars, airplanes and sprinklers.

He wasn't quite done wanting to be outside and the dogs needed to go out too so we headed out to the backyard. First, we did a little swinging. He is really loving the swing I recently got for him. But, being the one year old he is . . . that didn't last real long, soooo. . .

. . .we sat on the back lawn and learned how to blow bubbles! He actually did it! When we first got the bubbles a few days ago we tried to teach him how to do it but he just wanted to eat the bubble solution. Not good! He tries to catch the bubbles and loves to watch them float through the air and pop.

After that we walked over to the orange trees. I was looking to see if there were any blossoms yet but I didn't see any so I picked an orange and peeled it and gave a section to Logan. He looked at me like I was crazy so I ate one and said, "YUM!" so then he tried it and pulled a face like I had just given him a sour lemon. After a few times he would actually suck on it and get the juice out of it.

Well, Logan wasn't even close to being tired but his Gramma was sure wearing down so we headed back into the house and turned on the Backyardigans. We love that cartoon. It's way cute. I love to watch him as he dances to the music.

When the Backyardigan's were over I told him to bring a book to me and we would read a story. He went to his bookshelf and picked out his favorite book and brought it over to me but he read to me instead. It's something about a busy spider and it has all kinds of animals in it and he loves to turn the pages and Gramma makes the animal sounds. He especially loves the rooster.

I wasn't so sure he would want to lay down and take a rest but I decided to try it anyway. I laid him down and he fell right to sleep and got up just after his mom and dad got here to pick him up.

Logan's always very happy to see his Mommy and Daddy and has lots and lots of kisses for them when they get here. David even got a little snuggle time before they left.

We all walked out to the car together and Lindsay put him in his carseat but he was not happy. I'm sure it's because he knew that he wouldn't get to play at Gramma's house until Thursday. Thanks for a fun afternoon, Logan. I love you!

I love the bubble pictures and when he is laying on the couch reading his book! What a busy boy!
Sounds like you are having a blast being Grandma! It's bizarre for me to think that will be me in a little while, only not the grandma part! Starting all over again is more than a little daunting, but it'll work out. At least, that's what I keep telling myself!
Isn't it great that they just hate to leave Grandma and Grandpa's house. It makes you feel so loved! :)
Oh! Logan has a good grandma! And this really makes me miss my camera!
How cute...you should make a little book out of that for Logan. I keep wondering if he knows what his grandma looks like without a camera in front of her face :) JUST KIDDING!
That is a busy day! I'm exhausted just reading about all that activity!
I can tell you LOVE this grandma thing! He is so blessed to have such a great one!
i love the idea of having this post made into a book. how fun would that be for him!
