The princess turns 1 year old

*NOVEMBER 9, 2010*

It's hard to believe that this sweet, tiny baby is one year old!

That year went by way too fast!!!

Now she is walking and talking and trying to keep up with her big brother Logan. She loves food more than anything in the world but she is a tiny petite little thing. Ava is sweet as can be but she also has a mischevious side. She is definitely a momma's girl and will become a big sister in a few short months.

Ava, it has been a joy to have you in our family. Your are a treasure to Mammaw and Papa.

Kip came into my life 23 years ago today.

He's been such a blessing in my life.

He has the ability to make people smile and laugh

and he's always got a funny story to share.

He's a wonderful uncle to Ava and Logan,

he's a hard worker and

would do just about anything for anyone.

He can quote almost any movie

and he has an infectious laugh.

Time is flying by . . .

It's almost time!!!

Finally!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

YAY!!!!

On Friday I got to go with Lindsay, Logan and Ava to the 3rd ultrasound with HIGH hopes of finding out what baby #3 is. It took some coaxing from the technician but we finally got a glimpse of the "parts"! She is one stubborn, or modest, little girl. Yes, it's a girl!! Ava will be a big sister in February when she's only 15 months old. Logan was a bit sad that it wasn't a boy but he will still be the KING of the household! And, if anyone can handle all of this, it's Lindsay. She is one amazing mom! It was so fun to be at the ultrasound and see the results. I feel so incredibly blessed to be adding another sweet soul to our family. I can't believe what an amazing family I have and I love that we just keep adding people to it and the love just grows and grows.

Seriously?!?

I have a mailbox that looks like this one: (this isn't mine). When a package is being delivered it goes into the larger box at the bottom. This morning, knowing that a package was due to arrive at any time, I went and checked the mail only to find that someone broke into the package box and opened the package and took the contents of it and left us with an empty box.

The package contained 2 adorable flower girl dresses for Brein's wedding in November. My sweet sisters-in-law had taken a ton of their time to purchase the dresses and then ship them to me.

Yes, the dresses can be replaced but it's just the principle of the whole thing. The jerks opened the mailbox with a crowbar and stole something that they don't need or want! It just makes me so mad and I don't understand it!!! Okay, I just had to vent. I'll try to move on now!

News Flash! Brad and I are expecting . . . and it's a BOY!!!

Fortunately, he's already a grown man and he's in love with our daughter.

Brandon came over tonight and gave Brein this "view master" with a slideshow of the 2 of them. It was adorable. While she was watching the slideshow he got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful diamond ring and popped the question.

Of course, she said YES!

WHERE HAVE ALL THE BLOGGERS GONE???

I was in bed last night, trying to go to sleep with one disturbing thought kept rolling around in my head . . .

"WHERE HAVE ALL MY BLOGGY FRIENDS GONE"???

I know that life gets busy, believe me! But there are so many of you that I haven't heard from in a long time. Let me clarify. I've seen your latest status on FB but not a post on your blog. Yes, I blame FB. I love FB and I'm there several times a day. It's quick, it's easy but it's not a blog!!!
I googled a search about less blogs and it seems that it's a national trend. So don't feel bad, just recommit yourself and get out there and BLOG!!!

Weekend Adventure with Logan and Ava!

Hard to believe but these 2 crazy kids have been married 6 years as of Saturday! Time sure flies when you're having fun!!! Congrats to a great couple. They just happen to have the 2 most adorable kids EVER and I offered to take them for the weekend so that Lindsay and David could have some alone time for their anniverary. They sure don't get a lot of that anymore with all that they have going on in their life. So . . . here is a run down of the crazy fun weekend Mammaw and Papa Mac had with Logan and Ava:

Saturday morning Papa made pancakes for the family.

Logan loved them! He ate his and Papa's!

Ava couldn't get enough! She had half a pancake,

half a banana and oatmeal. Can you say porker?!

Thanks to Kim H. for the great idea of spending the day

at the Arizona Science Center. It's a great place for fun,

hands on activities for kids of all ages. We had a great

time exploring all kind of science projects.

We especially enjoyed the construction zone. There were

tons of soft building blocks for the kids to play with.

It was even fun and safe for Ava to play in. She loved it!

Logan made a few new friends. They buried each other

under the blocks and then came bursting out of them.

There was a fun play house for the kids.

Logan "planted" vegetables in garden.

Ava loved riding the horse.

Logan flew the model airplane just like Papa Bennett.

Papa Mac and Logan had fun playing with this air/ball game.

And Ava was as good as gold all day long!

After the science center we had a nap and then went swimming.

On Sunday we went to church and then while Brad was

at meetings and Logan was watching a movie I fed Ava.

Can I just say that it is an adventure to feed her? She

LOVES food but she is messy!

eating it!

Papa and I had a great time with the kids. We understand

why most people have kids when they are younger. We

were exhausted when they left but had a great time

loving and spoiling the 2 best kids in the world!

HAPPY HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy 21st birthday to my baby girl. Brein came into the world with a bang on July 28th just after midnight. She has kept us on our toes ever since. We just never know what we are going to get with Brein! She was an adorable and unpredictable baby and pretty much is still adorable and unpredictable. From the time she was tiny she has loved animals, especially boxer puppies! She's had two of them now, Buster and Baxter.

I always thought she would be a tomboy but she turned out to be my girly-girl. She loves shoes, purses, dresses, jewelry and all things girly.

She's always been a hard worker and a good friend and fun to be around.

She feels a special bond with our another four legged friend, specifically the heffer! You'll have to ask her about this one!!!

She couldn't wait to be an AUNT and is the best one EVER. She adores her nephew Logan and niece Ava.

She is blessed to have a new friend, Brandon, in her life. They are an adorable couple.

She had a dream to become a cosmetologist. She worked so hard to achieve that dream. It took a ton of determination and money and hard work and she did it and now she's working for an awesome salon called Tantrum where she can share her wonderful talents.

Brein, I am so incredibly blessed to be your mom. You are a gift from God and I treasure our friendship. I love you so much!!!
