I'm trying to "Come What May and Love It"

Today has been a hard and discouraging day. I've had cause to reflect on a talk given by Joseph B. Wirthlin,
"Come What May And Love It".
In this conference talk he says that his wise mother taught him "come what may and love it. He said "Every life has peaks and shadows and time when it seems the birds don't sing and the bells don't ring". How can we love the days that are filled with sorrow and trials? He said that the way we react to adversity is a major factor to how happy and successful we will be in life.
He has a few steps that can make hard times easier:
1) Learn to laugh. The next time you are tempted to groan, you might try laughing instead. It will extend your life and make life for everyone much more enjoyable.
2)Seek for the Eternal. It's easy to ask "Why Me?" Because Jesus suffered the greatest of all, he understands our suffering. Disappointments, suffering and sorrows are part of our "on-the-job training" . These experiences will stretch us and refine our charachter.
3)Understand the principle of Compensation. The Lord will compensate the faithful for every loss. Every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude.
4)Trust in God and his son, Jesus Christ. "God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotton Son. He will make weak things become strong.
Thank you, Elder Wirthlin, for your inspiring and uplifting message!

I SO love this talk!
I tell my girls to always find the good in ANY situation, because it is there. I also have to remind myself the same thing.
There is too much time wasted on being depressed or angry.

I'll go read it again.
