FULL HOUSE * BUSY LIFE * AND A FEW BUMPS AND BRUISES ALONG THE WAY OH! AND . . .

Here we are 6 months later and I have my 100th post.

My first post was the day that President Hinckley died.

I LOVE blogging!!!!!

Okay so . . .

Brad & I just returned from the very first

Hermosa Vista Stake Girls Camp at Camp LoMia.

We were 2 of the 5 cooks up there.

We either served 75

people or 250 people for 4 days.

It was literally the funnest,

hardest, most exhausting & yummiest

calling we have ever had!

On Sunday we had Sacrament meeting in the camps

"Sacred Grove". It was one of the most spiritual

meetings I have been to in a long time. There's

just something about being up there surrounded

by all the beauty that God has created for us. All

of the talks were on the Savior and His amazing love for us.

My love for Him has grown because of that exerpience.

While we were up there Kip called to let us know that

he was moving home for a month or so in order to save

money to possibly make a big move to Idaho. I will

definitely enjoy this time with my boy before he

leaves me. I'm too sad to even think about him being

so far away from me. I love that boy!

One of the worst things about being gone

for several days in a row is how much I

miss seeing Logan. The boy is the sunshine

in my life. This is how he acts when people

leave him behind now. This picture was from

the other day when Lindsay & David left to go

to their Styx/Boston concert but I'm

certain that this is how he felt when his

Gramma & Grandpa Mac left the other day!

Finally, on to the BUMPS & BRUISES portion
of this never-ending post!
Remember this?
And this?
Well, the other day while we were getting ready to
leave for Camp LoMia, our friends that we were cooking
with mentioned that they have a small zip line in their back yard.
It connects from a 2 story playhouse to the fence on
the other side of the yard. They took us out there and one
of the ladies with us tried it. I just had to take my turn!
Here is the result of that zip line experience:

Sorry if that grosses you out! As I hit the end of the

zip line, I guess the rope caught me on my leg and

yanked me around a bit until I fell onto the ground.

I know immediately that it wasn't going to be pretty.

I didn't tell anyone but Brad about the bruise. I told

everyone that I had an old knee injury and that was why I

was limping around at girls camp. The bruise has actually

faded quite a bit and I'm praying that it will go away fast!

We have a Lake Powell trip this summer and this would

not be a pretty site with me in a swimsuit!

I'm so grateful to be alive and be home from this

past adventure. I'm grateful that Brad & I had the

chance to serve up there. I love the young women of

the church and it's always a priviledge to be with them and

see their goodness.

I'm grateful to have my son home with me for a small time.

Lindsay, David & Logan with be spending the holiday with

us and I'm so excited about that. I love to be surrounded by

my family and all the chaos that ensues!

Sorry about the nasty bruise! Something you said caught my attention.....LAKE POWELL?!!!! Ok, now I'm really jealous! Tell me, how can you possibly go to Lake Powell without us?! That's just insulting!!!!!! Oh well, have a great time and remember your old "banana friends" left behind once again! (Seriously, those were some of the best memories!)
