I know that I should be real grateful, considering my blog is a gratitude blog, but . . . . Okay, Let me try again . . . I am SO grateful that it's been such a wonderful, relatively cool spring but I wanted it to last just a while longer! I'm not really sure what the official temp was today but it was soooooo close to 100 degrees. I just don't know if I'm ready for this! We truly have been blessed with an unusually cool spring and it's been a real blessing. I have been able to enjoy some fun outside time with Logan. Every afternoon we go on our trek to the mailbox and then later we go and sit in the driveway and play and wait for Lindsay to get home from work. I love seeing the look on Logan's face when she pulls up. He's so happy to see her!
The other day as we were sitting out there we were looking at some activity going on with our Saguaro cactus. We all it
"The Birdie Condo".
Here's why:
This is the cactus in our front yard

Notice all the holes in it? Those are where the birds live.

This is a momma bird flying into her condo to feed her babies.
This is that little family's condo.
This is their neighbor - Joe.
j/k
I don't really know his name.
There's another hole on the other side where a woodpecker lives. I think he's stalking the bird family waiting to get the babies. What kind of a world do we live in?!? Interestingly enough, he pecks on the light pole - not the trees. Dumb bird!

That's for old people in my opinion and I'm certainly not in that category!!! Anyway, this has been a fun and interesting and spring. I will miss being able to sit outside and watch birds and play with Logan and see my daughter come home to her little boy. Fun times, fun times!!!

I love it!
it is the cutest face when the car pulls up! first his face is like 'who is in my driveway' then when she gets out he lights up! it's soooo adorable!!
100 degrees! Wow! It snowed here last week! And I love the birds.
I love pulling up to see Logan playing in the yard. Too bad its getting so dang hot. I will have to suprise you guys in the pool from now on!
it might be alittle harder for him to run to you if he's in the pool! Hannah clapped when i came home yesterday!
Your cool spring has meant a cold one for us...yesterday it was summer and today (again) it snowed! Speaking of birdwatching being an "old people" thing...Dad brought me his AARP magazine, with Jamie Lee Curtis on the cover who, like me will turn 50 this year AND his Utah's Seniors magazine to read! What does this say? Pretty soon I'll be a snowbird down in Mesa!
