CAUTION! A LITTLE BLOOD AHEAD . . .
Oh, my Kipper! The story begins when we got home from church and there was 2 messages on the answering machine. Kip said that he was at the hospital and he is fine - not to worry and he will call us when he gets home. I knew that he was up north riding quads but I actually thought his message was a complete joke - until I heard the 2nd message. "Hey Mom, I really am at the hospital and I cut my leg open and I'm getting a few stitches but I'm okay." Okay, now I'm kinda freaking out!!! I tried to call his phone and it was dead. All I can do is wait . . . . He shows up a couple of hours later and sure enough he has a huge bandage on his leg. The nurse at the hospital heard him leave the first message and told him, "You can't do that to your mother!!! Now, call her back and tell her you're okay!!!" Thank you kind nurse! Anyway, he was out riding and tried to do a wheely and fell off the quad. As he was chasing the quad down trying unsuccessfully to prevent it from slamming into a parked car, he cut his leg open. His friends loaded him into the back of their pick up because they didn't want him to bleed on their upholstry (nice friends!) and rushed him to the hospital where he got 6 or 8 stitches, I can't remember. He was limping pretty bad when he got to me but I put him on the couch and fed him and gave him medication and said a prayer of thanks that he was basically okay. Crazy boy!!! Gross pictures below:

OH MY!!! i'm not surprised he left a message like that...my brother would have done that...that is one giant hunk missing from his leg!!! I'm so glad he was wearing a helmet and being responsible! way to kip-it-together (that was for lindsay)
EEWWWWWW gross!!! Hope you're on the mend, Kip! I'm having a hard time telling where on his leg the wound is, but I guess it really doesn't matter.
Ouch! I hope it doesn't hurt too long. It looks really sore. Kaelyx and Tynan think it looks cool. Ry'ak said "uh-oh!" Take it easy and relax!
Poor Kippers.. Give him a "hug" from me.. Aw, the joys of parenthood, does it ever stop?
Ouch! Well, I guess hooray that he wasn't drunk, eh? haha
