Bits and pieces, this and that . . .

Okay, it's time to get blogging!!! People are always quick to remind Brad and I that we are almost "Empty Nester's" (a term I DESPISE with a passion!). I find it really hard to believe that we are just about to that point in our lives when our nest is rarely empty at all! We actually had quite a full nest this past few days. It all began on Saturday when we ran down to Lindsay's and picked up Logan and brought him over for an overnight. Lindsay was having a big baby shower for a friend and we decided to take some stress from her and keep Logan overnight. Little did I know at the time that he would end up being here for 4 full days! Saturday wasn't that exciting. Logan had to come along with Papa & Gramma to get the grocery shopping done and dinner at In & Out Burger.
Brein got a package in the mail on Saturday from a friend on a mission in Bolivia. He sent her this hat and her and Logan and a lot of fun posing for the camera wearing such a cool hat.On Sunday we went to church and Logan was actually really good. He fell asleep in Sacrament meeting which was a complete shocker and then played so good in nursery. Lindsay and David came up later on Sunday, as did Kip, and had dinner and then we had the McMillan Family Olympics on the Wii. The pictures are of Kip getting a Hole-In-One on the golf game (he actually did that a few weeks ago but he aked me to blog about it - so here ya go, Kip) Way to go, Kipper!!!
On Monday, as soon as I got home from work Lindsay, Logan and I got in the pool and had such a great time. Logan LOVES the pool and has no fear. He will jump off the side, he will jump off the steps, he will go underwater and he even loves to be thrown through the air into the water as previously demonstrated by his father at Lake Powell. (If you missed it see the Lake Powell post - video #3) He's such a little fish!
We swam for a really long time and we played hard and we were all exhausted so while Lindsay did her work Logan and I layed down to watch TV and we both fell asleep. It just doesn't get much better than this. I love it! We had a nice nap and then we had dinner that Brad cooked for us and we were happy campers! After dinner I put Logan in the tub with lots of bubbles and then when we got out he decided to put on Papa Mac's shoes. Logan kinda has a thing for shoes. He reminds me of a little girl I used to know! Anyway, he was so cute walking around the house in those great big size 12's!

The big finale was on Tuesday when Logan and I made pancakes for dinner. He loved being able to stir the batter and then eat them with his big "spoon". Of course he had strawberry jam everywhere but we sure had a great time!
I'm truly grateful that my nest is not empty and that I have moments or days that are full of laughter, chaos, kids talking, Logan screaming, dogs barking, music playing and all that goes with having a fun and active family. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such a crazy bunch of people!
