Kinda Crazy Yesterday . . .

Sometimes you just know when it's going to be one of those days, ya know?! Well, yesterday was one of those days. Brad called me at work to tell me that Baxter was sick. He left his mark all over the house and I mean all over the house! For once I was extremely grateful that I was at work and not at home. It was so bad that Brad immediately called a carpet cleaner and they came right out and took out the stains and the smell - thank heavens! Luckily, Baxter is fine today and doing much better.
I could see that Brad had everything under control with mess at home so I headed down to visit Lindsay and my sweet Logan. I missed them so much. I'm really having withdrawls now that Logan isn't at my house 3 days a week. While Lindsay was working Logan and I played and played and played! He is a crazy boy and literally runs from one thing to the next, never stopping. He was almost as excited to see me as I was to see him. I opened the door and walked in and he stood there shaking his whole body and had the hugest smile on his face! Oh, I love that boy! He's learned a few new words since I was with him last. He said "Play" and wanted to play the piano and he said "Push" and handed me the controller to the Playstation. He is saying another word that we can't quite figure out what it is. It almost sounds like a bad word but I'm fairly certain that my sweet baby boy would never do anything like that!
Anyway, we had so much fun together. He makes me smile and laugh and I'm so grateful for any time that I can be with him. He shows me the pure joy of living. I think I understand better what it means to be childlike. Love that boy!!!

As I was headed home I was driving in the right lane and a semi truck was in the passing lane and all of the sudden decided to come over into my lane. Okay, first of all the stupid trucker shouldn't be in the passing lane and second of all he didn't even look to see if anyone was there. He forced me into the emergency lane and almost off the road. I hit the gas and hurried and got around him. I was grateful to get home in one piece!

We spent the evening watching:

Yes, I was voting for Archuleta! I had a sneaking suspicion that Cook would win but I really wanted Archuleta to win so bad!!! He's such a cutie and his voice is absolutely amazing! I like Cook okay and I guess it really doesn't matter who wins because I believe that they will both have great careers. Just kinda disappointing. It was a fun season and try as I might not to get hooked I always do.

Kinda glad that day is over!

Seriously, what is up with semi trucks yesterday!! You left out the part when the HUGE tank/semi thing was literally a 1/2 inch away from your car. Stupid Semi drivers. Logan loved having grandma over- he was so rotten this morning I wished you had taken him with you!!!!

Kim, Brad doesn't want you to feel sorry for Baxter. He wants you to feel sorry for him cuz he had to clean the mess up before the carpet cleaner got here. Ohhhhh, poor Brad!

it might have been the 27 gallons of dog . . . uhhh . . . you know, that told us it was the big dog not the little dog! BTW, Brad's not as tuff as he looks.

Yikes, that is a crazy day! It's got all the makings of a good movie: family, love, danger, drama, illness and more :)
