Most people would rather be certain they're miserable,
than risk being happy.

We live in interesting times. Sometimes it feels like life is just spinning out of control no matter how hard we try to control it. The last year of my life I have totally felt this way. I did not see my life playing out this way. I figured by the time Brad and I were into our 40's we would be set, no worries. Life like that doesn't exist!
Over the past year I've learned that it doesn't matter what my life circumstances are, I ALWAYS have the choice to miserable or happy. The last year has given us a lot of reasons to be miserable but the reasons to be happy are far greater. I'm thankful for the trials that the Lord gives me and I pray for strength each day to be able to handle them.
I'm excited to say that we are well on our way to our next great adventure. Brad began his new job on Monday and he is, so far, really enjoying it. He's a trooper! His attitude through the past year has been amazing and I'm grateful for his example. He is an awesome man and I'm so proud of all he does to provide for our family.
As we wander down this road of life I hope we will all choose happiness over misery!
Life is good!

Great thoughts, thanks for sharing! Good luck to you and Brad.
Hugs! :) Thanks for the thoughts. I will continue to think on them.
It took me a LOONNNNNNNGGGG time to learn that happiness is a choice. Thanks for the happy, happy times last week!
I so needed to hear this! Thank you, Mel. Each chapter of life always brings those darn challenges and hopefully I can have the same attitude you've shown. I love you, my sweet friend and even though our lives have taken different paths I will always cherish your friendship. Wish we could spend some time together like the old days!
Hey we miss you guys! Is Brad going to Moab? Shane would love to introduce him to my brother. And, I've heard rumors that we may be travelling your way in the fall? Keep us posted. Love you guys.
That is great news!! You both have been a great example thru this past year - both of you have had smiling faces and done wonderful service for those of us around you. We love you:)
Congratulation on the new job! Faith and hope work every time!!
