My hometown of Brigham City, Utah is going to be getting an LDS temple!!! I'm so excited! I love Brigham City with all my heart. I never saw myself leaving there. I will always consider Brigham my "home" and to think that now there will be a temple in Brigham is so amazing!
Brad and I have speculated all morning about where it could be including the posibility that the church would renovate the Tabernacle into a temple like was done with the tabernacle in Vernal, Utah. I don't care where it is - there are many wonderful posibilities. If you have some ideas I'd love to hear what you think!

I love when they announce new temples!! Always exciting. I am so happy that you are getting one in your old hometown.
Wohoo!!!!
Lot's of speculation on this end.
Yeah for temples! Yeah for Brigham City!
I was at Kristie and Mike's when the announcement was made and we were totally doing the happy dance! I can't wait to see where they build the temple...what an exciting thing to have happen!
So exciting!!!
I'm SUPER excited!!! I remember asking my dad once when I was about 12, if Brigham would ever get a temple, and he said "I don't think so!" And now look!!!! It's amazing to see how much the church has grown! I'm thinking it could be on the west side of town... so people from the highway can see it really well. There's SO much history in the tabernacle. I kinda don't want to see all that gutted out. But we'll see!!! :)
I have heard the Tabernacle theory from many people. Word has it that the 7 lots across the street that have been for sale for years all recently went under contract and is supposedly the future temple's parking lot...
Mel, I had missed President Monson's talk, but my friend called me from Brigham and told me the news. That's exciting! One of my bishopric told me this morning that Brigham just needed to get rid of me before they could have a temple. :0) Maybe! But I'm happy anyway.
